Brilliant from Everton regarding Fellaini. Man Utd announced it as an undisclosed fee, then Everton go and announce the fee at £27.5million.

Redcafe really trying to be civilised about it, but you can tell they're not impressed.

He will make them play much more direct, which is a great thing, it really is.

What a disaster, pissing myself laughing at them . £5m more than his release clause from a few weeks ago It shows how far down their list of priorities he was.

It'll be the icing on the cake if the Coentrao falls through

Midfielder Shinji Kagawa has vowed to fight for his place at Manchester United, having not featured in any of the club's three Premier League matches this season.

The 24-year-old is currently with the Japan squad ahead of international friendlies against Guatemala and Ghana.

Kagawa has been overlooked by new United manager David Moyes, and his last first-team match for the Red Devils came in the FA Community Shield at Wembley when he came on for the final seven minutes as a late subsititute.

Kagawa said: "Tough times are continuing, but all I can do is to work hard."

Asked whether he would be staying at Old Trafford, he added: "Yes, that's right".

Fans of his former club Borussia Dortmund have been using Twitter to urge the club to re-sign Kagawa.

whilst i still feel united have enough about them to do reasonably ok this season regardless of the moyes effect,

it's going to be interesting to see what happens...

if i'm right - their average age against us was 29 - (28.6 to be exact but we shall round it up for this )

                          in that starting XI
                          Ferdinand - 34 (35 in november)
                          Vidic - 31 (32 next month)
                          Evra - 32 (33 next summer)
                          Giggs - 39 (40 in november)
                          Carrick - 32 (33 next summer)
                          Van Persie - 30 (31 next summer)

Thats 6 of their key players imo in their 30's! - 6 out of 10 outfield players! staggering when you look at it like that.

over the next 1 to 5 years all of those will need replacing - and in 3 years time rooney/young/valencia will all be into their 30's as well

I am not sure the scum had so much money to use in the window. Let's not forget the club is still 300m in debt and serving 7% interest on their bonds.

                              compare that to liverpool

average age was 26 - of which out of the starting XI only Gerrard (33) in the 30's
