Any team can get beaten and any team can get a hiding. The big take away though imo is the way they flat out gave up. I don't think I've ever seen that before in top flight football. That is a genuinely worrying sign for any Man United supporter.

The 5-0 at Old Trafford. They capitulated then too and started to turn on each other for the final 30 minutes.
Don't really give a **** either way though. Beating Bournemouth next is what we have to focus on and keep on clawing our way back towards the CL spots.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Manchester United
after pogba chopped down Keita and got sent off, we took our foot off the gas. If we hadn’t, I think we would have won by more than 7 that day.
And yet, Neville reckons yesterdays performance was a freak occurrence [emoji23][emoji23]I don't tipComment

Poor from use to take our foot of the gas that day...
We need to harness that ruthless killer mentality, destroy when we can and put the fear of god into our next opponents.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.Comment

I think we were concerned of losing players like we did the season before against the Ev. Avoid getting hacked down at all costs.Me, IComment

Just heard Goldstein's rant on Talk****e with Darren Bent, saying United will still have a better season than LFC, Madrid will knock us out, losing 3-0 is worse than losing 7-0 (??) and that it was only a poor 45 mins of football and the same LFC front two/three couldn't beat Palace, Brentford, Wolves or Brighton... so the media and LFC fans going on about 'being back' is utter nonsense. It's a poor 45 mins of football by Utd and that's it.
What a ****ing bellend. Trying to spin the hammering into a positive for Utd, saying he'd have taken Utd winning a trophy and above LFC at the start of the season cos we've fallen off a cliff... no mention of our extensive injuries, lack of transfer investment to replace midfielders. Just a bitter cunt through and through. Can't stand the ****. Always has to make it about Utd and plays the 'victim of circumstances' card more than any other club supporter...

Would be ****in epic if we somehow overturned the. Madrid tie. Not gonna happen but we could go for #7 then!!!Just heard Goldstein's rant on Talk****e with Darren Bent, saying United will still have a better season than LFC, Madrid will knock us out, losing 3-0 is worse than losing 7-0 (??) and that it was only a poor 45 mins of football and the same LFC front two/three couldn't beat Palace, Brentford, Wolves or Brighton... so the media and LFC fans going on about 'being back' is utter nonsense. It would be wouldn't it...
And just the see the ****in' smirk wiped off Goldstein's face too. He's so dismissive of us (and every other club) at the expense of his beloved United.
Even Cundy gives some credit most of the time, although he also despises the LFC fanbase more than anyone.
Imagine turning it over in Madrid... never gonna happen, but after the weekend, I don't know what is around the corner this season. We're just as likely to get pummelled another 5-2 as we are winning 3-0 and going to ET and pens.

But he's not wrong. We haven't won a damn thing this season and we're not likely to. They've improved and will keep improving under Ten Haag.Just heard Goldstein's rant on Talk****e with Darren Bent, saying United will still have a better season than LFC, Madrid will knock us out, losing 3-0 is worse than losing 7-0 (??) and that it was only a poor 45 mins of football and the same LFC front two/three couldn't beat Palace, Brentford, Wolves or Brighton... so the media and LFC fans going on about 'being back' is utter nonsense. As an opposition supporter, he rightly doesn't give a **** about our lack of investment or our injuries. The table is there to see in black and white.
If by some miracle we overcome Real and go on to win the CL, and/or we get top 4 and they don't, then we can say we've had a better season. Was muComment

Talk****e is just that.
Roy Keane nailed how to talk about it.
He said that the manc players were a disgrace in how they gave up when things got tough, but that the reason things got tough was down to how good Liverpool played and that the second half was Liverpool back to their best in his opinion, a level that few teams could go toe to toe with.
He basically took some of the sting out of how bad he thought his own team was by saying how great Liverpool were.
Is always better, imo, to say that the reason you lost was down to your opponent being amazing and that you will do better next time against them, than to rattle off a load of mealy mouthed excuses.
Reflects better on a losing side or individual to have that in their locker when discussing a loss. Be angry, gutted and what not behind closed doors, but give the tip of the hat in public.
Winners use setbacks to improve, losers just bitch and wallow in excuses.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Also just listen to the narrative by the likes of Neville and co when City hammer someone by 5, 6 or 7 goals.
It is never about how bad the losing team was and the focus is always on how amazing City were.
The second half against Real Madrid is a good example to give. Real were excellent in that half and overall the better team on the day just as we were against Manu.
Sometimes the other team has a much better day, there is no shame in that happening. Where you lose face is in how you react to being on the receiving end of that better day, both in game and post game.I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.
