It will cost a pot of cash to get him plus the rumoured £15m for ETH - I'd have thought they would have gone for Potter or Southgate
I make no apologies, this is me

Judging by transfers there seems to be no thought process. He is this seasons must have. SO uNited must have him.

Allegedly we decided against him due to 3 at the back and other red flags regarding youth set ups.

I am sure they haven;t thought this through and hope it ends up as a major disaster.

Sullivan backed out one him in the summer as he wanted a massive entourage to follow him - Buy out is EUR10m for him only - add in others United have to be looking at some serious comps for Sporting and then any of the assistants still at MU that ETH left.

Just heard that Ashworh cost them £20m - Surely not ?

Ashworth was between 3-10M depending on who was reporting

I think the leadership are writing off the season here, give him 30 games plus 2 transfer windows to get everyone on board etc - Take a loss on leadership and probably a fire sale on talent between now and summer 2025, its a gamble IMO

The squad cost something like £1.2bn but is only valued at £700m by TransferMarkt today. Throw in a fire sale and they could lose even more.

Maguire, Lindloff, Eriksen, Evans and Diallo contracts all run out in the summer so there is little value there, but most of those should have been moved on last year.

He has a big rebuild on his hands if he takes the job!

Wouldn’t surprise me to see them go all fruit loop in the market, looks like Chelsea are over the hump now so maybe try to copy them to an extent until they get it right

Yeah i see the same TBH, they have the funds & expect them to spend big & on a lot of players.

Yet again however they have done it the Chavs have broken the system again & spend 100's of millions; others will follow.

They may try something but it won't be what Chelsea did.

                        It’s a shame. I really like Amorim as a coach, oh well…

Manchester United will cut their losses on £86m Brazil winger Antony, 24, following Erik ten Hag’s sacking. (Talksport),
Please no, give him one more season & a bumper pay rise

They e tried everything. He will need to get rapid traction to avoid the cycle all the other guys have experienced. On the face of it a decent appointment.

Agree He's the 100th manager to be labelled the next Mourinho, Will have very little transfer funds to spend, Players still there with poor attitudes having seen off 4.5 managers! Seems ineos have gone with a snap decision, I mean if this guy is the real deal then why not sack ten hag after the cup win v City, Instead they extend his contract, spend £200 million plus and now have to pay off Hag.
