How awful is Marouane Fellaini: Here are the stats...
Plenty has been made of Manchester United’s disastrous start to the season and Everton old-boys David Moyes and Marouane Fellaini are bearing a large part of the brunt. Moyes had the almost impossible job of filling Sir Alex Ferguson’s shoes, while Fellaini was brought in to strengthen United’s fragile midfield.
Up until now opinion on the Belgium midfielder has been split into two groups. Those that are writing him off as a useless player with ridiculous hair, and those that want to give him more time to bed in, but still feel strongly that his hair is laughable.

Fellaini so slow. Looks a mile off the pace at the moment. Several sections cheered when he was subbed off. Needs to sharpen up quickly.

But at least it’s better than: David Luiz – The defender has made just two tackles in four matches for Chelsea
Fouls – Four
Worse than: Sylvain Distin – The Everton defender has committed just one foul in eight appearances for Everton
But at least it’s better than: Shola Ameobi – The striker has given away four fouls in just two appearances for Newcastle
Number of times he’s been dribbled past – Five
Worse than: Mathieu Flamini – The Arsenal midfielder has made six appearances for the Gooners and just two players have dribbled past him
But at least it’s better than: Marc Wilson – The Irishman has made eight appearances for Stoke and seen 17 players go past him already
Number of times he has been caught offside – Three
Worse than: Pajtim Kasami – He’s been caught offside just twice in seven games for Fulham and he’s playing just off the striker
But at least it’s better than: Jonathan Walters – The Stoke midfielder has strayed offside five times this season already

Worse than: Gareth Barry – Since arriving at Everton to replace Fellaini, Gareth Barry has lost the ball once in four appearances
But at least it’s better than: Youssouf Mulumbu – The defensive midfielder has lost the ball 21 times in the middle of the park for West Brom

Worse than: John Obi Mikel – The Chelsea man has just one goal in 186 games for the Blues, but he found the net this year

Worse than: Tim Howard – Even the Everton keeper has got his name down for an assist this season

Worse than: Etienne Capoue – The defensive midfielder has made just three appearances for Spurs this season and still manged one key pass
