United won the league simply because of Van Persie - De Gea has improved massively but still has his moments, they have an average defence, an average and aging midfield but guarenteed goals galore up front. Sick of the idea that signing Van Persie was some sort of £24M, £200K p/w masterstroke though.
For me - City LOST the league rather than United winning it, they have the best squad by a mile but a completely over-rated gob****e for a manager. With a better man at the helm they'd have had it won by February. Same goes for Chelsea - better squad than United but no consistency to actually make the most of it.Comment
