And they've got Chelsea next weekend

Could easily drop further behind and you'd expect that to happen as well.

The Manc lad in work is convinced they will win the title again next season. He is also convinced they will finish in the top 4 despite the fact for that to happen they need US, Everton and Spurs to go on shocking runs and them to go on the run of their life.

They won't beat Chelsea at the bridge so we should stretch our lead if we beat Villa.

Have to agree, the best they should get at Chelsea is a point and even then we're likely to be 7 points ahead which is a fair gap, when you take into account our goal difference it would require us to lose 3 games and them to keep winning.

Speaking of the Manc in work. We were in the pub the other day talking about football when the conversation turned to RVP. I said to him that if they finish outside the top 4 he will leave as he left Arsenal to win things and with him being over 30 doesn't want to hang about as he is running out of time. To which he said and I still can't quite believe he said it.

"Van Persie won't leave united as he owes united everything and will stay loyal as he has his league medal and no one is going to want him anyway"

Honestly I spat my drink out in laughter. Despite me pointing out again he left Arsenal to win things.

Although you're right, with his age and injury problems this year what team I wonder would take a punt on him?

Moyes has run him into the ground. If he was under a decent manager he wouldn't be crocked.

I always expected Russ Abbot's name to appear in another EST thread - one in the Library.
