That is true. He has the champions plus Fellaini and he is managing to **** it up. So I guess most things are possible.

All of that was with Ferguson as their manager.Originally posted by BobTheCharmer View Postsorry?
I'm merely saying I fully expect Utd to get 4th place.
I never quite understand way people write them off so quickly and then they come back to haunt you. They were finished when they sold Ronaldo only they werent. RVP was a waste of money, people laughing at the amount for a 29 year old, resale value was mentioned...errr he won them the title. I prefer to not fall for it and then I'm not overly disappointed.
Mata may well give them a boost but remember they will still have a joke of a manager, a non existent midfield, an average defence and most importantly an attack who create very little from open play, this season they've had to rely on set pieces to get goals and that is with both RVP and Rooney in the side.
Another plus for us is that their remaining fixtures are tougher than ours IMO, yes it would be foolish to completely write them off their chances of getting 4th but nothing I've seen so far this season makes me think we can't beat them to it.

Absolutely. Someone mentioned Klopp's crop of players not performing as well once they left Dortmund. The same applies in the Ferguson has the whole squad looking better than they were. Without him they are struggling for confidence and leadership and if teams continue to believe they are there for the taking then they'll be beaten.Originally posted by ~LFCHistory~ View PostAll of that was with Ferguson as their manager.

Ferguson was an incredible motivator and it's easier to say that now he's departed

They bought another bench warmer with the remainder of the money last weekOriginally posted by rcasemore View PostOh I am sure this is a done deal.
Mata to the Mancs and Salah to Chelsea. Quite a good bit of business by Chelsea I guess, they've sold a bench warmer for £40M or so and got in the squad replacement for a pretty tidy profit.

Nice work from Mourinho to turn a world class talent in Mata into lesser talent and somehow come out smelling of roses!Originally posted by rcasemore View PostOh I am sure this is a done deal.

It's crazy isn't it but Mourinho is what Fergie was to the Mancs, he can do no wrong.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI know this has probably been pointed out a million times, but can you imagine if Rafa Benitez SOLD JUAN MATA TO MANCHESTER UNITED?
There would be Chelsea fans actually trying to assassinate him.
IMO they're mental selling him to a rival but it seems that Mata's not all that these days or we don't need him etc....
