I think Kroos looks a really good player, but yeah, for the large part of £300k a week you expect Ronaldo/Messi levels of output and he won't give them that.

He's good but not 260k a week good.

Please get him and bloat your wage book. Please.

This was doing the rounds yesterday in Dublin..............poor form from what was (hopefully only one) a complete ****ing tool. Not a fan, just a ****ing vandal. The bridge was rededicated in memory of Liam Whelan a while back, a local lad who was killed in the Munich Disaster.

Fan of Bohs came out to clean it off, so fair play to them.

          it's ****ing so disappointing

it just leads to their knobheads feeling justified to call all liverpool fans murderers and thne the cycle continues

some of the ****ing **** i've seen recently on twitter in particular, from fans of all clubs is just disgraceful

it's just so sad - and i just don't see how it can be changed. cunts will always act the cunt - the daft thing is, the prick who wrote the munich **** on that wall, is probably on facebook today 'demanding' justice for the 96

I havent seen an awful lot of him but that was the impression I got from watching the match the other night

Hes nothing spectacular and the money they are talking for him is huge considering his talent (or lack thereof)

A really good player but they are actually damaging themselves with these wages. If Kroos is asking for and receives £260k then the rest of the 'top' players will be back with their agents to the negotiating table.

                he's a good player

but that's surely one hell of their budget going on one player - plus paying two players (kroos/rooney) over half a million a week in wages

when they need a new left back, probably another two centre backs, and arguably still need another centre mid even if they get kroos

All of them top quality players at that. They effectively need to replace 4 of their starters. Need huge sums.

The thing is if United do offer this sort of money for Kroos they're setting a precedent for wage expectations for players already at the club and anyone that they might be looking to come in.

If it doesn't work and get them back into the CL for the season after next it will be harder and harder for them without offering these kinds of wages to attract the right players.

Absolutely. They are treading a pretty fine line here. If they decide to play catch up and pay massively over the odds wages they are going to end up in a complete mess financially. I feel like they are on the verge of taking a pretty large gamble and I'm praying it backfires in spectacular fashion

Well remember our bloated wage bill on players that weren't good enough, once you've got them it's damn hard to shift them and leaves you playing catch up for quite some time and in this time of FFP it couldn't happen at a better time

Completely unrelated, but what's happened to Nani and his 5 year contract?

Manchester United have agreed a stunning deal to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho.

David Moyes will overhaul his under-performing squad in the summer and Carvalho will be the first of a host of new arrivals at Old Trafford.

talkSPORT understands United have already agreed a fee of around £35million with Sporting Lisbon and finalised terms with the midfielder on a five-year contract, although the deal will not be made official until the transfer window opens.

The signing of Carvalho, who is set to feature for Portugal in this summer’s World Cup, will be seen as a major coup for under pressure Red Devils boss Moyes.

United have been monitoring the 22-year-old all season and beaten off competition from Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Liverpool and Monaco, who have strong links to his agent Jorge Mendes.

Moyes and Chief Executive Ed Woodward are keen to get their transfer business done before the World Cup and United are also looking to sort deals for Southampton duo Adam Lallana and Luke Shaw.

Not sure I'll sleep tonight knowing they're spunking £35m on an unknown and unproven defensive midfielder.
