Good news. Won't have to see Nani's sulking, Michael Jackson face in the PL for a year at least. Good riddance.

Didn't Moyes give Nani a 5 year contract last year? Maybe LVG will give Cleverly and Fellaini big contracts too?

Nani did sign a ridiculous new contract last season

Manchester United: Nani signs new five-year contract

Manchester United winger Nani has signed a new five-year deal, keeping him at the club until June 2018.
Nani, 26, has scored 40 goals in 217 games since joining the Premier League champions from Sporting Lisbon in 2007.
During his six-year stay, he has won eight trophies, including four Premier League titles and the Champions League.
He said: "Playing at United has been a fantastic experience for me. When I came to the club, I never imagined the success we have enjoyed."
There had been speculation about the Portugal international's future, after he made only seven Premier League starts in 2012-13.
Despite missing most of United's pre-season schedule with a nose problem, Nani has impressed new Manchester United manager David Moyes enough to be given an extension to his contract, which was due to expire next summer.
"I'm really pleased Nani has re-signed for the next five years," the Scot said. "He has great ability and experience beyond his 26 years.
"I've been impressed with his approach to training and look forward to working with him in the coming seasons."

They only gave him that deal because they thought they could shift him for a big fee

Brilliant. They lack any strategic planning and forward thinking on the pitch at the moment

Mad wasn't it What logical reason did they have to think they'd sell him for loads this Summer given he's been absolutely toilet for years? Now they are stuck with him with 4 years left on his contract, probably on a pay rise

That and the 300k to Rooney came at a similar moment. Is that Woodward guy their Purslow?

Manchester United offered me a pay rise but I turned them down, reveals Thomas Muller
Germany World Cup winner says he rejected 'astronomical' offer this summer from Manchester United to stay at Bayern Munich

Thomas Muller has revealed he turned down a big-money move to Manchester United this summer.

The Bayern Munich player, who was one of the stars of Germany's World Cup-winning team this summer, told Bild he chose to stay at the Bundesliga champions despite a significant pay rise offer from United.

"Yes, I knew I could earn more by moving," Muller said when asked about United's bid for him. "The figures that foreign clubs were talking about for me were astronomical."
Muller worked with Louis van Gaal, the new Manchester United manager, when the Dutchman was in charge of Bayern - indeed it was Van Gaal who made the then 19-year-old a permanent fixture in the first-team squad in 2009.

But Muller said he did not even consider the possibility of a move to the Premier League.
"I can only say: a change was never really an issue for me anyway. FC Bayern is my club."
