It'd be so funny if Falcao failed his medical.

But they are so desperate they'd stick his knees together with blu-tack to get the deal done.

What's the latest on his price? Is it permanent or loan?

BBC are reporting a £6m loan fee for Falcao. That seems good value to me. £43.5m option to buy.
      Oh I don't know.

That seems vey low tbh. Surely they are not that desperate to offload him.

Monaco owner got absolutely crushed in his divorce settlement to the due of around £3bn. Hence their lack of investment and ending their 'project' before it really got started.

They'll still sign him even if he fails the medical. They're desperate.

Not too sure why some are laughing and shrugging this off as a bad deal for them.
              Think thats a little skewed

Sure Ronaldo contributed massively towards those titles but they had players like Giggs (much younger), Scholes, Ferdinand, Vidic and Neville in their sides

The squad is much less balanced now and far less balanced than when they won their last title

I wouldnt dismiss the signings they've made but they need major surgery to turn things around

Has he played since his knee injury?

Be interesting to see what, if anything, he's lost as a result of the injury.

He was fantastic for Atletico in the 2012/13 season. Hope he's dog **** now

He's played 3 games already this season apparently.

This deal seems like insanity to me. United don't really need a striker; it's midfield and CB they need to sort out.

This guy is/was a great striker, but he is 29 years old with two ****ed knees and is gonna be coming to the fastest league in the world. He's probably got a couple of years left as a top striker and the PL will hopefully reduce that. Even Van Persie knew the league when Utd signed him - and he seems like an injury crock now.

It really looks like they are putting all their eggs in one basket. Unless he hits the ground running this is a bad decision.

Should've kept Agger to put in a reducer on him before he left- like he did to Torres.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

People were saying we'd most likely win the title if we had signed Falcao a little while ago. Adding him with some of the other players UTD have bought surely means they should be able to challenge for 4th. Especially if Falcao scores them a great load of goals like he usually does. If we're super lucky he'll be like Torres was to chelsea. But I cant see that happening.

Yeah, it certainly gives them a better chance... It's just that squad is so imbalanced, it's bizarre.

They have spent so much money in the last year, they must be approaching having spent more in one year than any club in history!

They have no pace anywhere in the squad bar Di Maria. You can't just add certain great ingredients into a bad recipe and hope for success.
