Di Maria? I think he did to a degree but I think he is a player who needed players to help score.

I actually think that the form of RvP was a primary reason that a new signing was needed.

Stole that from Mr.M (sorry Mr Michael. ).

Cheers - I worked it out eventually - hence the edit above.

Can you imagine if we'd got Remy and Falcao, we'd have three crocks.

              Is Remy injured?
              * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Edit: I suppose he was a replacement and paid for by Welbeck (and the Pea went too), but personally I still would have went for a lower risk player to cover for Rooney and Van Persie.

As someone who spends time on Redcafe (cough) there was a significant minority actually disappointed they were losing a promising youngster for an ageing injury ridden player. With hindsight that minority has become a majority. There was no need to splash money at Falcao. Di Maria yes, but Falcao no.

It was the definitive job saver move from Woodward. It may ultimately be the decision that loses him his job. So we laugh.

Manchester United will pay a staggering £785,000 this week to players currently out injured or doubtful for Saturday's trip to Arsenal.

£900k if you add in Nani's wages.
