Decent player, nice a safe which is exactly what Van Gaal likes.

Herera is a much better player though and can't get a sniff, too creative and not enough sideways passes. Not a slight, journalists have said similar he just doesn't seem the Van Gaal type but I'd have him here all day long.

Things are bad when Big Sam calls you a "long-ball team".

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce echoed Noble's view that the east Londoners were unfortunate not to win the game and appeared to take a slight dig at United's style of play.

"The lads are absolutely gutted in there and so they should be," he said.

"I think it was an absolutely fantastic performance and from the point of view of where we were just towards the end (of the match), I thought we were going to make sure we saw it through and unfortunately for us it was not to be."

Allardyce added: "I suppose in the end we couldn't cope with long-ball United. It was just, 'thump it forward and see what they could get' and in the end it paid off for them."

That rug really tied the room together.

Aye, they mentioned that on MOTD 2. Hilarious stuff, definite ammo to wind up scummers later on.
        3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I'm sure he'll totally have sympathy with them, and tell them all they know better, and he'll change his style.

Would dearly love them to have a proper slump! Just to see the confrontational LVG appear and speak his mind!

My United season-ticket mate hasn't turned on LVG (yet) but is really pissed off with their handling of Januzaj, thinking they are in danger of ruining him and that he's technically better than Di Maria.

Di Maria is a good player, but they have over paid by about £35m. No chance he is worth £60m, and when you add in the cash they have spunked on Falcao, no way are they getting a decent return from the two of them.

Van Gaal seems like some kind of comedy character, its hard to take him seriously at all. Again not the right profile for them, and barely a step up on Moyes.

I guess the £10m+wages punt on Falcao was worth it. But Di Maria seems like a brutal waste.

You have to expect a player who comes in on that sort of fee to make an instant impact....

It's all good! Makes a bloody change from the years and years we had to put up with them being at the top all the damn time!

Just a pity teams like Chavski with an equally cuntish manager replaced them!

Di Maria made an initial impact, but then he was injured, and combine that with Van Gaal's horrendous way of playing, it's not turning out that well so far.

I'm not sure why they are unhappy. They are doing much better than last season, and that was realistically the best they could hope for.

                          Football fans eh?
                          Oh I don't know.

                            'tis a thing of beauty.

Top 5 managers in the world they said. Insulting to compare him to David Brent they said. Maybe a quick reminder as to why FSG chose Rodgers OVER LvG despite LvG being very interested in managing us (and not director of football as we wanted).

That's not completely correct. They are doing as **** as last season but instead of having a target for abuse (Moyes) now they have 'false hope'. Its always the hope that kills you and most of them can see it coming.

Are they? How much more points do they have?

I think it's more of the rest of the league being ****e for the first half of the season
