Really??? I'm not saying anyone here is wrong or right..just surprised as I thought Kane was highly regarded. I guess this is the first open discussion we've had about him.

It's hard to value him. For £40m you'd expect someone with blistering pace that defenders can't deal with or amazing South American skill, but he has neither of those. He's always reminded me of Kuyt (which is why I like him ), but is probably a better finisher and that always adds £££'s to the value.

Be interesting to see how he does next year when he's not an unknown quantity, wouldn't be surprised for him to have second season syndrome like Townsend.

I would ignore his end of season form anyway. The whole Spurs squad went on holiday mentally weeks ago.
