    Hooooooooooof.

Agree on Baines and Fellaini, but it will be interesting to see how he deals with replacing their entire back four, and possibly having to replace Rooney.

Sure, although he nearly took them down the year before that. We'll see, with their money and reputation I doubt he will fail miserably. But the bar is set so high and the competition amongst the super rich clubs is getting greater all the time. It could be fine margins for them next year.

I just can't see him winning the league on a regular basis. It was Fergie that has kept united soo good and with his loss i can see them really suffering. Moyes is a good manager but he will not win the European cup with united he may win the odd thing but that will be it.

This could be their Hodgson moment.

Astonished by this. Always thought Ferguson would retire out the blue, However, I never in a million years believed they would punt for Moyes, a manager so totally unproven at the highest level of football and in Europe. I'm ****ing gobsmacked. We have seen how one bad appointment can ruin a club and the years worth of success start to unravel so quickly.

This is brilliant. This is the first time that the United **** generation have had to endure a managerial hunt since 1986.
We've bundled through 7 or 8 during the same period. (Just making sure...Kenny, Souness, Evans, Evans/Houllier, Houllier, (Thommo doesn't count), Benitez, Hodgson, Kenny, Rodgers = 9). ****ing 9. And some want it to be 10.

Whoever United get in, it's not going to be Ferguson. And that's ace.

Won't surprise me if he get sacked before the end of next season.

He must now start playing attractive football. Winning isn't enough. Moyes and attractive football

It will be interesting to see how trigger happy the Glazers will be with a new manager there.

Moyes will be under immense pressure. We all know Chelsea, City and even Arsenal will strengthen big time this summer. And either Spurs keep Bale or they sell him for a fortune and spend big themselves.

Even if Ferguson stayed I wouldn't fancy them for the title next season. So when Moyes starts losing a few games, playing ****, negative football, and lumping it up to RVP and Fellaini, the United fans will get restless. Totally new territory for them, out of their comfort zones and a new manager in - with no United connections - who's won absolutely **** all. They'll turn on him by Christmas if it's not going well. As red_g said ealier, they could be in for a rude awakening and it's going to be fun to watch.
                            Thanks very much for being

Rooney and Ferdinand. £60m back then would been much more now. Say £100m+. Inflation and all that.
