I wouldn't have any problems with them winning the league cup this season on the proviso that they finished outwith the top 4 and dumped out of the group stages / first knock out stage of the Champions League.Originally posted by foresterbloke View Post****ing comedy gold this is. It would be monumentally amazing if they finished outside the top 4 and were out of all the cups.
Man Utd meet wilderness, wilderness meet Man Utd.
The league cup win would prove to us all that Moyes is indeed a winner
and it'd hopefully save his job for another season in which he could do further damage.

I want Moyes to win nothing. Ever.
I want him to monumentally **** Man Utd up. I want him to be sacked in his fifth trophyless season with a retiring squad, inadequate replacements and the Glazers taking every penny out of the club (that isn't even technically theirs).
I don't want to count my chickens just yet, but I can't help a discreet fist pump and a gritted teeth 'umph' at their current predicament.

Their biggest problem now isn't that the squad isn't good enough because to be honest it is good enough to take a top 4 place, FFS Ferguson won the league last time round with the same group. RvP, Rooney, Hernandez and Welbeck up front shows the depth they have too.
That not their biggest problem, despite how much Moyes is trying to make out that it is, and selling their players down the river in the process. No, their biggest problem is that without the 'Fergie factor' other teams, the media and everyone else is having a pop at them. The fear factor has gone completely. The pressure is increasing daily but also the knowledge that they need no longer to be feared or held in high esteem. That fact is not going to change, it's the new new. United have lost their edge for ever and it's going to take more than a managerial change to stop the rot. Ferguson was the strongest manager this league has ever seen, his influence was immense and no one will return that aura to them, no one. Not ever.
Moyes is turning on his players already, which is sad because it could hasten his departure. Who next to steady the ****? Redknapp, mark my words, will already be house hunting in Wilmslow. He'll get a bounce out of them for sure but he's only ever a short term fix
The end of an era has finally arrived, timed perfectly with the only reason that it existed in the first place. FergusonLast edited by Norbs; 30-09-13, 08:48 AM.

I know it probably would never happen , but i would love them to do a 'Leeds'.
Imagine if poor results on the pitch, led to massive drop in income(merchandising, ticket sales & CL money) off the pitch. The would be stuck with a couple of players on £200k+p/w and another 5/6 players on £100l+p/w.
It would be lovely to see them crumble & be relegated. and all of they're 'fans' return to Chelsea or another sport!

A large part of me feels the same, but there is this small reminder that we were very close to do the same. It's not a good feeling.Originally posted by magicalbarnes View PostI know it probably would never happen , but i would love them to do a 'Leeds'.

I would like them to dive and crash sooo much that their Directors end up in jail, their overpaid aging stars can only get work in cheap local pantomimes and their ground is turned into a Nuclear waste dump with Giggs and Rooney as caretakers.
Moyes can get a job at Tescos, walking around in a white coat and peak cap shouting at motorists "Oi, **** off, yer can't park there"Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

i posted after the cup game, that i was hoping the result was just papering over the cracks and it looks that way,
we've done similar for years, 'got up' for big games and got draws, but then been ****e after.
i will enjoy it at the moment, but i don't want to get to ahead - i'll privately laugh to myself or on here
- but I won't start really slaughtering my United mates until the **** really hits the fan..
however since Moyes took over
1 - they've had an embarrassingly bad transfer window
2 - league results have been dreadful in the first 6 games, which also includes two losses to their two biggest rivals (us/city)
3 - something i pointed out very early on - their core/key squad is old! they'll need replacing with top class players, whilst due to their age they won't get much resale value on them
4 - the moyes effect
- he's sacked united's 'popular' back room staff, appointed his trusted dinosaur's, and he's come out with two classic interviews, straight out of the Hodgson school of lowering expectations and covering your arse early...
"things will get worse before they get better"
and
"we are not good enough to win the champions league, we need 5/6 world class players to do that and we don't have them"
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

5/ Fitness specialist criticising Moyes' training methods.(I can't remember the details, but somehow linked to Van Persie)Originally posted by PTP View Posti posted after the cup game, that i was hoping the result was just papering over the cracks and it looks that way,
