‘United to buy five more Matas’ – Manchester United are targeting as many as five more signings of Juan Mata’s calibre as David Moyes begins the most radical overhaul of United’s first team in almost 20 years, that’s according to a report in the Sunday Times. They are apparently looking for top full-backs on either flank, at least two midfielders and another leading forward. Moves are being considered for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos and Mario Mandzukic, Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal of Juventus, Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarin, FC Porto’s Fernando Reges and Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus. Oh, and Glen Johnson of Liverpool.

He is a good player though, that decision was up there with that of letting Pique go.

Fantastic, the wallet's been open. Now for Moyes to complete the Sounessification of manure. Look for Toni Krooses, sign David Speedies. Can't wait.

The only reason Mata went was to get into the world cup. The other players they're 'after' are not that desperate.

Manchester United have turned down a significant offer from Paris Saint-Germain for Adnan Januzaj in the current transfer window.

The French champions have refused to drop their interest in the 18-year‑old despite him signing his first major contract at Old Trafford in October.

United rejected the offer and have made it clear they do not want to negotiate about a player David Moyes has said is talented enough tobecome one of the great modern-day players.

PSG, who have also had a £14m bid for Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye rejected, were at the head of an extensive list of major European clubs trying to lure Januzaj away from Old Trafford earlier in the season and had been hoping to capitalise on United's difficult first season under Moyes. They are seventh in the Premier League and out of the FA Cup and Capital One Cup.

United subsequently tied down Januzaj to a contract that recognises the extraordinary potential he has shown in his breakthrough season. The teenager could have earned more at PSG but opted to stay in Manchester, as well as turning down offers from Spain and Italy.

However, PSG have retained their interest at a time when United are not guaranteed the top-four finish that would ensure qualification for next season's Champions League.

That rug really tied the room together.

Bollocks, would've been great to see the back of the diving little ****e & his horrendously irritating ****ing song.
              3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Its classic PR all of this.

Putting it out that they have untold millions to get more players after Mata, New Contract for Rooney, Januzaj offer. All of it is done to take the pressure off the fact they have been playing like absolute trash this year.

This year there form has been L-L-L-W-L-W

2 wins all year, and the one of those wins might as well have been a loss as they got knocked out on Pens.

I've noticed since this signing my Man United supporting Facebook friends have suddenly got very cocky again after being near silent so far this season. Do they really think this signing is going to make that much difference. I can't wait until their next disappointing result again so I can ram it down their throats.

I think it will make a difference. He creates lots of chances. Chelsea's player of the year in the last 2, both of which they won European trophies.

Once they get Rooney back they'll start scoring more. Imagine us losing Suarez and Sturridge for a large chunk of the season and still be within distance of 4th.
                      Are we winning?

The back up strikers are not bad though. For all the clog he gets Welbeck has scored a few and Hernandez knows where the goal is.

                          Yeah, that's been going well.
