Yes, but the difference is that we had finished 7th the previous season. Hodgson could point to lack of funds to spend under G&H, and only being given 6 months in a job. He could point to all his Scandinavian medals to deceive people into thinking he had winning experience. Also, he did well at Inter, so he had success at a big club before. It was easy for the press to point out and say it was us fans who drove him out.Originally posted by Alex View PostDont think it has too be honest. He has shown he can give stability at Everton, so he will have plenty of mid table sides after him. Villa, Newcastle, Norwich and the like will want him in.
Going to this job was always going to be a HUGE ask for anyone. His performance in it, can be spun as a positive for him. If Hodgson can get a job after us, then Moyes can too.
It is a shame though, as people like him keep the more progressive managers down.
Moyes took over the champions, had tons of money to spend, which he spunked on Fellaini and Mata. He has no other medals bar the Community Shield, and, has no other successful experience at a top club. He has to start from the low to mid-table depths again. Gone are the days where he was linked with the Chelsea, Tottenham and Schalke jobs.

Didn't they delist when the Glazers bought them? Could be any time. Feel a bit sorry for him really as he seems a decent bloke but the payoff must ease the pain a tad I suppose.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

i'm a mixed bag of emotions today over this

part of me is laughing, thnking it's so funny and thinks haha **** you moyes i always knew you were ****
part of me is a bit on no ****!! - i wanted him to stay at least till xmas, cause he would have just caused more and more damage
and then i am bit genuinely gutted and surprised
- the players have been disgraceful for him since day one and he's not really been given a full whack at it - i also think he's ****ed now i reckon he'll be that drained over it all that he won't recover.
If i was moyes - i'd take my money, write a book slagging everyone off at united
and then go and retire to the bahamas or something - spend my days relaxing in the sun/on the beach and away from any **** he'll get
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
