David Moyes was overwhelmed by the challenge of managing Manchester United.

At the Manchester United training ground in recent months, some of the long-serving staff would come in and ask, with lips curled, “Are Everton in today?” It was a coded way of asking if the boss was in his office. David Moyes never did escape the disparaging label that he was an overpromoted Everton manager out of his depth from the day he walked, with trepidation, into Old Trafford.

Like Barry Ferguson at Blackpool. Starting every week, Free kick taker, corner taker and penalty taker

haha it's funny but it's harsh - it's clear some people never wanted him, were never going to give him a chance, and when that happens doesn't matter how good you are it's going to be difficult to turn it round

that said - moyes did himself no favours. He should never have sacked virtually all the back room staff. He shouldn't have ****ed around with fellaini transfer - i understand he prob felt he wanted to come in and put his own stamp on things...but he would have been much better off taking his time, keeping the same training methods/same tactics/same coaches and allowed his intergation to be slow and smooth and whilst they might not have challenged, they wouldn't have looked completley lost

He might just be the Stuart Pearce of Man United.

Or he might be the Trevor Brooking - who knows?!

Di Marzio says Jose is the priority (then Klopp and van Gaal) and that 'surveys' (Google translate) already have started with Jorge Mende

Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

I'm stuck in the middle on the Jose links. Whilst it would be hilarious for him to down tools at Chelsea, rock up at Old Trafford and be reunited with Mata you have to think about what he could do at Manchester United, how quickly they would get back to winning ways and how he would STILL be in the Premiership.

Mourinho and United would be marriage made in heaven - a cunt managing the biggest gang of cunts in football. It would be intolerable, though Chelsea's boiled piss would be funny.

Does Ferguson still have any say in the running of the club? I couldn't see Mourinho working under or alongside Ferguson.

i wouldn't be surprised if it was already set

it makes sense - mourinho clearly whored himself out for the united job - looked gutted when he didn't get it, clearly needed/wanted a job back in england and the only one that fitted was chelsea - since he's been there he's not been happy at all - he's just been more and more of a cunt.

i think he'd love the united job.

personally i'd hate it - it would have the potential to be sickening.....however of it did happen and went tits up it would be even more hilarious

Id love him to go to Utd just to see the Chelsea fan reaction. It would be priceless

Who cares what Chelsea fans would think or do? There are hardly any of them anyway. If Mourinho went to United he'd get them playing as a team. No thanks, we need another **** manager to take over at United next season.
