I'd love that quote to become more famous than the 'you don't win anything with kids' oneOriginally posted by Pablo1981 View PostIt's quite ironic really that Ferguson said about 18 months ago that Liverpool were 8 players short of winning the title. Now we're almost there and they are 8 players short of winning the title themselves.
Oh triffic......so while you're up the road jollying it up, it's touch your toes time for Rodney

The rebuilding job the next manager has is titanic in all honesty and without CL football it's going to be even more difficult. Utd do have plenty of money to spend no doubt but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them do a Spurs and spend ****loads of cash on ''name'' players from abroad in the mould of Lamela, Soldado etc.
I'd say most of their current players are either past it or not good enough to begin for a team with CL aspirations - I only rate Rooney, De Gea, Carrick, Kagawa and Mata, you could possibly include RVP but there's question marks about his desire to be at Utd plus his inury record and age (31 in the summer). I'm sure some people will point out that that squad won the league a year ago but that IMO was almost entirely down to the genius of Ferguson.

You've got toOriginally posted by Shaggy View PostMy Utd mates reckon Rooney has been complete turd for two years bar a 6 month spell prior to getting the contract. Got the contract and went **** again. Him draining them of over half a million quid every fortnight is dangerous.

What do you mean it could've been anyone? Name me one person who's got a grudge against penguins

John Giles being spot on.
Alex Ferguson was once asked by Britain’s cycling supremo Dave Brailsford what is “your secret to constant success and longevity?”
“Get rid of the cunts,” was Ferguson’s reply.
On ‘Off the Ball’ tonight, John Giles says Moyes was too deferential to both Ferguson and the senior players at United. And he insisted that the next manager should get rid of the Class of 92 lads.
"I think anyone coming into the situation at United, what they should do is… Giggs, Butt, Scholes, Neville, have to go. Get them out of the way.
Ferguson had a saying himself, get rid of the ‘C’s… and that’s what he did. Now some of the people, including himself, are behaving like some of the ‘C’s’ themselves…"

Sounds like this years Baines / Fellaini tragi-comedy.Originally posted by john316 View Posthttp://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...umours-3454254
£55m for Lallana and Shaw ?! Southampton should drive them up there in a Veyron if that bid surfaced.
