    Hello mert.

Quite pleased - obviously a brilliant manager but he was sacked at Bayern after falling out with big name/influential senior figures. The 'class of 92' will doubtless have had their noses put out of joint, and you can imagine LvG and Ferguson having plenty of fall outs. Let's hope it gets messy.
Other thought (apologies for the delayed thinking, wife and baby away for the first time and I'm getting royally drunk) - I don't want them getting a brilliant manager, even short term.

All they need to be convinced of is that success can be achieved after Fergie. If LvG can pick them up next season and they win a cup or challenge for the title then they break the downward spiral and their financial might kicks in.

Hopefully, so long as it's all conflict behind the scenes till then.

Bugger that, it needs to be as public as possible.

I want Giggs to be caught making ****** signs at LVG behind his back and the board backing him with just a slap on the wrists.

I want LVG banning Fergie from the training ground and bitching about him to the media.

I want Neville to go back to being a dumb 1 eyed prick and go on a 1 man anti-LVG crusade.

I want Charlton to quit in disgust.

I want their share price to drop dramatically and the club be sold to an owner only wanting to milk them.

I want it to be messy. I want it to be ugly.

According to De Telegraaf, Manchester United will make Van Gaal's appointment official on Wednesday.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Really not sure on this. It seems a gamble, which ironically seems to be exactly what they're trying to avoid. It looks like they want a safe bet. I'm not sure Van Gaal is that, he's combustible!

That said if he settles in there he will improve them.

I'd have prepared them to have appointed Giggs, but I guess that was never realistically on the cards. Too much money riding on it to take that big a risk.

Hopefully Giggs and the class of 92 undermine LVG quickly next season and the whole thing melts down!

When Ayre met with Van Gaal, the papers reported he wanted to bring in his own staff too. Danny Blind was supposed to be our assistant, and of course, he's now one of the brigade he wants to bring in (Kluivert would be the assistant instead).

There's no way Van Gaal will accept the job without the majority of his wanted staff signing up.

Why would a manager with his pedigree accept advice from a brain trust consisting of Butt, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, and Ryan Giggs? Yes, they've won things, but they've never stuck out as the sort of tactical geniuses you'd seek help from. No wonder there were murmurs about Roy Keane.

He'd be a fool to listen to the Ass of 92. They're cunts and 2 of them are both ginger and balding.

                            3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Van Gaal usually improves at team for 1-2 season, and takes them forward quite a bit, but at the same time he usually don't last any longer than that because he wears his players and board down.

Short term a very sound option for them, but it's no long run fix.

                                louis van gaal, balls out

"The coach wanted to make clear to us that he can drop any player, it was all the same to him because, as he said, he had the balls," said Toni.

"He demonstrated this literally (by dropping his trousers). I have never experienced anything like it, it was totally crazy. Luckily I didn't see a lot, because I wasn't in the front row."
