meh! not too fussed about the appointment of van gaal. he hasn't had a lot of success since the mid-90s except for two league wins with ajax and bayern (who already dominate their national leagues anyway). i think he'll find it a bit tougher going here. throw in his reputedly tough coaching stance and i can see this either backfiring completely (like our own bodge phase) or taking a few season to sort itself out.

either way ... they're not challenging for a few years.
