An easy start definitely helps though, especially with a new manager. Builds momentum and confidence, and the rest are playing catch up. Mancs should have maximum points out of the first 6 FFS.

i reckon LVG is a very accomplished manager. the main thing that might make his tenure a bit wobbly is the bitchiness of the class of '92 and the petulance of wio, evra, etc, undermining him.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I'm pretty sure they said the same thing about us a year ago. A good manager can do a lot.Originally posted by Chilts33 View PostWho cares how that lot start the season? They have to play us twice, they are now in that group beneath the Top 4 and should be treated as such. City & Chelsea are now our rivals!Blank

No chance I'll blow most of my budget on Van Persie. If I do opt for any United players, it will only be the cheap ones.Originally posted by G View PostAll depends on price but RVP loves LVG and is doing well under him for the Netherlands so he'd have to be picked. Suarez will be mad money in the game too
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Manchester United will sign Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera for £28m TODAY- 24 year old will have medical in Manchester after talks in London
- United will offer him four-year contract worth £50,000 a week
- United previously tried to sign Spanish international last summer
Manchester United will complete the £28.4million transfer of Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera on Tuesday.
They will offer the 24-year-old - who is heading to Manchester to complete a medical after talks in London - a four-year contract worth around £50,000 a week.
The Old Trafford club made efforts to sign the Spanish international last summer, offering £24m, but ultimately pulled the plug on the deal as they did not wish to pay his buy-out clause.
However, they have monitored his progress throughout the season and have revived the deal knowing that Herrera’s buyout clause is due to rise again after June 30.
Sportsmail reported last month that United scouts had been monitoring Herrera’s performances after a dip at the start of the year.
Although he was an option for previous manager David Moyes, new boss Louis van Gaal is also an admirer of the player and has given the ok for United to carry on talks.
Bilbao are notoriously difficult for negotiating anything outside of their buyout clauses but Moyes had hoped to sign Herrera as a free agent next summer. Such is Bilbao’s resistance, his clause in the final year of his contract would rise to £32m on July 1 with teammate Iker Muniain in a similar situation.
Herrera is a national teammate of David de Gea and Juan Mata and the trio played together for Spain’s U21 squad.
Van Gaal would still like Kevin Strootman from Roma, but the Dutchman will not be fully fit until October. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
