A penny over 15m is a penny too much.

Two massively over the top fees there, but they do look like two very good young players they're signing.

Rooney was over priced and never really fulfilled all his potential but they still got their moneys worth

It's totally akin to our purchase of Carroll. In fact probably a little crazier as strikers are intrinsically more expensive. It's silly money.

If he's good enough to be their full back for the next 16 years it's a good investment. It remains to be seen if that's the case though. I see very little to laugh at at the moment with the Suarez ****e and they are spending millions. However I don't rate the lad that much and wouldn't pay it myself but only time will tell if it was worth it.

That is another £60m spent and two signings who are hardly going to set that team alight. Happy days really.

That'll be much, much higher in a couple of months. I have a feeling the bookies will have them just off favourites for the title by the time the season starts

I think some mocked me a while back when I said they'd start the season as shorter odds than us to win the league next season. Now I'd say that's nailed on.

No matter who they sign though, and they're still yet to sign anyone that would concern us, it will take them a while to settle. I think that's why I'm especially gutted they've been gifted such a piss easy start to the season. It's conveniently exactly what they needed

Money aside, those are two good signings.

Dont think we can take them for granted next year. New manager that knows what he's doing plus Rooney and Van Persie and the piss easy start to the season will probably see them in the top couple of spots until November.
