We had out chance. Why the **** didn't we bid for him instead of Lallana, Lovren AND Lambert? Was it because his surname didn't start with an L?

They fell to some **** teams last season so it could happen. Let's see how they go.

Lazio are likely the only candidate for a challenge, maybe Monaco depending on whether they can keep any sort of first team players. Financially they are not well off right now, so potentially loosing Falcao, Kondogbia, Moutinho, Martial, Kurzawa, Moutinho... There are a lot of decent players available this summer from them.

would be gutting for them to lose Moutinho twice :P

Despite two consecutive trophyless seasons, the Red Devils have leapfrogged both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to top Brand Finance's 2014 Football 50 ranking.

They make £750m from Adidas over the next 10 years alone.

Didn't realise De Gea only had a year left on his contract. htf have they let that happen, given they knew Madrid would come calling eventually.

He must just have refused to sign an extension, which probably means he had the heads up from Madrid a while ago.

Arguably their most important player of late, the last decent signing made by dbf too, off to Madrid on the cheap, to play under Rafa!

He'll be a big loss to them, and a great signing for Rafa. Also no doubt Utd will get a decent replacement, and may already have one in Valdes.
