They've made some decent signings so far this Summer tbf, doesn't mean they're going to gel as a side and hopefully De Gea will leave which will certainly be a big loss for them.

Yeah they have new signings that need to gel, but so do we. Given our nightmare start to the season we're unlikely to get a jump start on them I'm afraid.

There's still a chance Van Gaal could mess this up of course, he's got that in him. He's a lunatic ego-maniac after all. It's far more likely they, along with Chelsea and City, will be out of sight by Christmas though

If you buy quality straight from the off, you're saving yourself the hassle and money of replacing ****e in the future.

Schneider, Pig ****er and Herrara have never played together and have probably never spoken to each other before but they'll work out a way to play with each other and compliment their traits.

This is what happens when you spend the $$$ on good players. They have a good footballing intelligence as well as ability.

Add Carrick and Daley Blind and they have some serious options in midfield.

As for AM, they have Di Maria, Mata, Depay, Fellaini.

They dont have a lot of options in strikers - only Rooney as of now. But I think they will target a **** hot striker next. They are building up a quality squad. Even if one or two signings dont settle well, they have plenty of cover.

What I do know is that every dog has it's day and they might get turned over by some relegation **** and knock their season sideways while we cruise on by because we got all our hard matches out the way and Firmino/Sturridge have 20 goals between them by Christmas.

Annoyingly I think they'll do very well next year. With Arsenal likely to strengthen we could struggle massively if we don't reinvest the Sterling money well (not on Benteke) and we buy some top quality.

Pretty much impossible, 4 stronger teams ahead of us, even Spurs are doing better of late. Throw in the Europa League.

No top 4, and I dont expect any cup success under Rodgers. I'm sacking off going the game now, **** atmosphere, no hope and average footy. If one of those things were different i'd probably still go. Instead of throwing the money away on tickets, im just going down the local and having a few pints and taking each match as it comes.

I don't think we've done badly in terms of signings, in fact I'm actually very happy so far but now our competitors have outdone us haha.

Are we stronger than last season at this current moment in time? I think we are slightly yes. Adding a goalscorer to that and it will be a definite yes.

It's just frustrating that others are likely to strengthen even more than we have, so it will be, in some ways, all for nothing.

Citeh and Chelski have recently "out-strengthened" us year in year out and are likely to do so for the foreseeable and are a shoe-in for top 4 once again on the face of it. Arsenal have strengthened considerably with the addition of Cech and are not far off being a shoe-in for top 4 if not challengers for the title next season. Manure, however, are still there to be shot down and are the most likely to drop out of the top four (IMHO) given that they are still the subject of a considerable overhaul and will be gelling a lot of players in next season...............plus they are still ****

On that basis and given that we can get another striker (15-20 goal man) in why wouldn't we be a top 4 shout?

Because Man United will have a far better squad than us.

I'm not saying it's impossible, just improbable. Better players normally win out.
