So the best part of £50m to have Di Maria and Falcao for 1 year
      Football without Origi is nothing

They can afford to spunk money as they are printing cash right now.

Like Rodgers I'm taking this season quietly but inside I'm confident. Let's just see what laughable tactics LvG throws out early doors this time. Being a regular Redcafer I remember how sustained Utd fans' ire was with his style before we effectively handed them 4th place.

Being linked with a bid for Robert Lewandowski ......Lewandowski's Agent Cezary Kucharski
“I think it would have to be a very high offer, definitely higher than €50m," Cezary Kucharski said on Polish television. There must be a signal from the club, from Munich," Kucharski added. "There is no such signal so we are not thinking about it, because even thinking about a change of club would be unfair in my opinion to the current employers.

"There is no reason, apart from money to be honest, to even think about it.

"Bayern would have to think about why they would get rid of Robert Lewandowski. It seems to me that there is no reason to even think about it.

"With a player of Robert's class, the truth is that not a lot of work is required because really there are only two directions in which he could go in the future, England or Spain, and only with Bayern Munich's acceptance."
              ...................

Robert Lewandowski's agent has told Manchester United it will cost them more than £35m to sign the 26-year-old Bayern Munich striker this summer. (Independent)

Top player be a great signing for any team.

Victor Valdes is signing for Valencia it seems. Wonder what that means for de Gea's chance of joinning Real? Or are they in for 2 new keepers now?

Valdez supposedly refused to play in a reserve game, now he's getting bombed out!

@BBCSport: #mufc to sell Victor Valdes because "he doesn't follow my philosophy. There's no place for someone like that," says Louis van Gaal.

LvG beginning to be LvG, for right or for wrong. Looking forward to more drama this season. Wonder if we will be treated to another leaflet.

Aye. I'd still be tempted to make a cheeky bid for him though.

Valdes could've been No.1 for us last season when Mignolet was having horrific moments. Instead, he turned our trial request down and signed for them.

With degea likely to be off its a bad slip up by manure not jumping in for begovic, glad he opted for early retirement.
