For the money they have at their disposal they've made pretty mediocre buys.

Linked with Hummels, Ramos, Muller, Bale, Kane, Vidal because they can afford the fees and wages but how many of them are dying to play for LvG or in the theatre of dreams? Even the player of the season De Gea can't wait to jump ship. No slapping his wife into order to play for the shirt.

So far they've signed a slow and ageing German Stevie G that Bayern couldn't wait to offload. A classy DM from Southampton (ha the irony) that gets injured more than our own Lucas. And a 30m Jordon Ibe. I fully expect Utd to yet again putting all their faith in Young crossing to Fellaini and Mata scoring some more unmarked goals from the right. Hardly mind blowing stuff.

As for LvGs tactics let's see how many teams for the old high line high intensity pressure stuff that got them out of trouble last season. Teams sussed us out within a season when we did that. Can't wait for LvG falling back to his wonderful 5 at the back with Evans.

Obviously there would be no point telling him to put a certain colour on a right or left foot, it would simply be a case off him knowing that a certain colour shoe go's on the same side he combs his quiff to, once he knows that he's sorted..
