Even if you replace Skrtel with a more quick footed defender, it wasnt a particularly special goal. He stumbled though a change of direction and scored from 7 yards. Certainly not in the top three goals of the weekend and not the best goal of the game.

Tell Tyler that.......to be fair, it was a good goal, but should have been defended better right from the outset, as the CB shouldn't be having to drift out to the touchline, never mind when he started coming into the box. Quick feet, bit of luck with the control ala Suarez and a calm finish.
If one of our lads scored it, we'd be singing it's praises, but it certainly doesn't top Benteke's, never mind other goals witnessed this season. But you can be guaranteed it'll be front and centre not Sky's advertising.

Right, so Utd's best player is now out for the season. Normally that wouldn't be so bad, but his position means moving another decent player in his position (Blind) to now play LB. Leaving Rojo next to Smalling.

Rojo was utter turd tonight. Utd players were visibly getting more and more scared being on the same pitch as him. This will ultimately affect Smalling's seemingly impenetrable form, now that his intelligent mate Blind is further away.

Can see them starting to struggle with high pressure must win games twice a week. 4th spot may be up for grabs if Everton and Spurs want it.

I certainly wasn't saying that pre-season when he was carrying that lard. But he's proved a lot of people (me) wrong in his last few games for club and country. Worth every penny of that £28m.

But like Sturridge and Hargreaves, he's always one or two games away from a season ending injury. Call it bad luck, vicious defending, etc, but Shaw just seems to attract that kind of juju.
