I agree he is over rated and not worth that money BUT he still has potential to improve by a lot. Mourinho might get the best from him and he adds power and technique to the United midfield that they are lacking.Originally posted by SK View PostOne of the most overrates players in the world imo.
The 4 players they signed make them the team to beat for me. Jose doing if the hard way again I see, lash money at players in their prime and **** off the youth!

I couldn't give a **** about them to be honest. I'm more concerned about us and looking forward to seeing what Klopp can do as let's face original Klopp can't get us going then no will. I honestly think we are in a strong position.
It's not all about money and signing superstars. This league is super competitive and I think Mourinho and his manc galacticos are in for shock. Besides he'll be there 2 years tops before he's sacked.

Carrick, Hargreaves, Anderson, Fellani (
), Blind, Herrera, Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin all big signings proclaimed to be just what United need to fill the Keane/Scholes void. Arguably only Carrick proved a decent signing.
Pogba may well be considered a different class to any of those mentioned above, but last year United signed a player many thought was one of the best midfielders in the PL (Schneiderlin) and a player many considered one of the best in the world for a period. What did they add? Sweet FA. That has no bearing on whether Pogba will succeed or not, but if we could rewind 12 months and offer United supporters the choice of Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger for £40m or Pogba for the same price (ignoring the hype this record fee is generating), I'm guessing most would go for the former.
Pogba will no doubt make United stronger (any player playing ahead of Rooney in midfield will), but I'd be more worried if they spend £30m on Kante and teh extra £70m elsewhere. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

To be entirely fair I think Hargreaves would have been if not for his injuries. He was a class player.Originally posted by RedReet View PostCarrick, Hargreaves, Anderson, Fellani (

I agree about Hargreaves. He was very good.
I remember when the press over here were tripping over their own erections after their old assistant manager, Carlos Queiroz, exited an airport having completed the deals for Nani and Anderson. Everyone thought they were buying two world class superstars. Instead, they got a **** Michael Jackson and a fat Predator.

That's the point. Despite how good the player is or how much you pay, there is no guarantee that they will succeed. It could be injuries, they may not settle in the PL, they could fall out with the manager or they might just actually not be that good. Either way, £100m is a lot to invest in any one player and IMO the money could have been better used and the risk spread.Originally posted by EwarWoo View PostTo be entirely fair I think Hargreaves would have been if not for his injuries.
