I could understand breaking the bank for a "guaranteed" 1-a-game goal scorer (i.e. Suarez, Ronaldo etc.), because they will pretty much always score, and goals are decisive in football and win games.
Signing Pogba clearly makes them a better team, but in his position he could never influence games on a consistent basis in the same way as an equivalent value goal scorer.
They would have done better to spend the money on Higuain.

A lot of this transfer is United flexing their muscles and showing the world they are still relevant. He is a v good player and potentially superb - I mentioned previously that he reminds me of Gerrard at the same age and that is a frightening prospect!Originally posted by Patricks_Berger View PostI could understand breaking the bank for a "guaranteed" 1-a-game goal scorer (i.e. Suarez, Ronaldo etc.), because they will pretty much always score, and goals are decisive in football and win games.
