He and his agent had set up branding around the number 9 though. He wouldn't have been allowed to do that without applying through the club formally for legal reasons. So the club were not unaware of his activities.

After all that they still gave Ibra the number without a fight. My employers would be within their rights to take my window seat which I spent years requesting and put me in the middle of the floor again to accommodate a senior new starter. Doesn't mean I wouldn't be pissed off without any false sense of entitlement.
