It's more than a rumour, he's publicly apologised. It shows a total lack of professionalism.

Anyways, since when have we had such a high bar for things to laugh about him / Scum for?

Im all for piling in on Utd. But this hardly seems like a terrible thing. He was having a drink on a Saturday night before a Tuesday 'Friendly'

Now, I can understand showing some professionalism during a WC or Euros (IMO then all the players should be focused on is getting their best performance levels) But a few days away from a friendly. Nah, not having that he has done anything wrong there.

I think we have more than enough to laugh about at Utd without a bit of faux outrage at a few beers.
      *Except Michael, who died.

Not outraged, I don't give a flying ****. But my Scum friends were, which was where I heard it first.

We should be praising Rooney for his recent behaviour. Having a couple of drinks before a friendly is nothing compared to visiting massage parlours for women older than your own mother, cheating on your wife by engaging in a threesome, and cheating on your pregnant wife again, with a prostitute.

I always wondered why she stayed with millionaire Wayne Rooney.

Not bothered. It shows he is human. Which is more than his face does.

                      Impact of brexit my arse.

Impact of Zlatans wages more likely.

At some point quite soon the club are going to discover they are just "one of the pack" and the premium prices they have extracted from various "commercial partners" will no longer be possible.

Could depend on the currencies the contracts are in I would imagine. But yeah vastly overpaying for **** the past few years doesnt help.

An interesting hypothesis. Given the propensity of a lot of younger fans to hop clubs depending on who is successful this could be a valid observation. Particularly in other areas of the world where perhaps the geographic or historic links are not there.

Another factor may have been, perhaps naively, adding all these CL clauses etc expecting that this would continue indefinitely after Ferguson departure.

Utd fans on Redcafe kept selling us the same ****e that they could survive three seasons without CL football. Well the survived it, just like a recently unemployed hobo can survive three years living off half eaten food in bins.

Its not the surviving, its the prevention of decline they didn't quite get to grips with. Three years later and no one's going to give that hobo a job now.
                            One tit for another.

That's the main thing for me - their sponsership deals might be massive but they are dependant on them getting CL football.

I'm sure the Addidas kit deal falls massively if they fail to make CL this year.
