"The worthless cup" to use their phrase and "Thursday night channel 5" are now their biggest games of the season as their league campaign is over in November. And they only don't win every game because they are "unlucky" and "every goalie is MOTM". They've become everything they used to laugh at us for and it's beautiful. A nothing club.

There is a guy at work - big United fan - and he insists that they will still get top 4 because they are playing so well!!! And (it gets better) that Mourinho is capable of actually stringing a brilliant run in of something like 14 games in a row and maybe even have a sneaky title shot. The guy is deluded.
The whole thing is hilarious. The bright spot for them from last season was really the emergence of Rashford. Also - Blind looked a player for them, it looked like Martial would be useful in the long run, and they knew that they had a good left back coming back from injury in Shaw. Plus Smalling was looking like he could finally play for them too.
So while the expensive additions of Pogba, Bailly, Ibrahimovic and Mikhitaryan all haven't worked out for various reasons (although with time they might to be fair), Mourinho has also hindered the development of Rashford and Martial - and he has marginalised Blind, Smalling and Shaw.
It is hilarious.

Where?Originally posted by Fredo View PostI think they are improving, albeit marginally. To dismiss them would be ludicrous. As much as I'd love to.
All I can see is that JM has played Sweinsteiger and Mhikitarian finally. Any side would improve with those in it over some of the dross they have now.
They have stagnated, have done for the last 3 years. Its ****ing brilliant.*Except Michael, who died.

I don't know. We've been saying this for the past 4 years and yet we've finished above them only once during that time.
It's more than likely that we'll be above them this year, I'm not saying that they will, but I think they are bound to improve because they will be throwing money at it.Are we winning?

I think its been shown plenty that throwing money at the problem wont fix it. We have improved this year over last by a fair bit by not spending much at all. Its about a manager, and a culture around a club. They have been lobbing cash at the issue since Ferguson retired.
We have had our own issues and reasons for finishing where we have, but at least we are fun to watch. They are the opposite of that.*Except Michael, who died.

They are absolutely dismissable this season.Originally posted by Fredo View PostI think they are improving, albeit marginally. To dismiss them would be ludicrous. As much as I'd love to.
If they win every single remaining league game (I'm happy to assume that they won't), they'll end up on something like 96 points.
In reality they can only afford to drop another 6 points if they want to win the league. Or 25 points to qualify for Champions League.
It's absolutely not gonna happen.
And as for cups. Who cares? Van Gaal won a cup apparently. I don't even remember it.Oh I don't know.

A win against a piss poor West ham side battling for relegation and all i am reading and hearing is they are back.
Can't see it myself. they have way too many issues but do have some quality in that team and expect them to be flat track bullies this season but come short up against anyone decent, Would love to see Everton turn them over this weekend._____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

I said it sometime in the summer but I think the game has moved on from Mourinho's tacticsOriginally posted by Fredo View PostYeah I agree, but I wouldn't dismiss the possibility of them improving this year once Mourihno identifies the team he wants. Though there are clear signs he has lost the plot.
For years hes parked the bus and I think some teams are happy for him to do that now
Game is more about being on the front foot now and thats alien to MourinhoBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."
