Pretty sure the directive has changed for handball in the area. If you make yourself big (he did) and it strikes your arm then it's a penalty. Correct decision if that is a new directive.

Utd didn't **** off for long enough. Hate them, ****ing hate them

Hate them as well but credit to them. They had 10 players missing and not a lot of people gave them a chance with that team they put out.
      Are we winning?

Roma decision ridiculous as well. Was nowhere near the ball.

Two decent teams out of the quarters though.

We could get drawn against them if we go through.

How would everyone’s nerve handle that?

It would be the nerviest couple of games of my life.

Probably the toughest draw we could get. It would be the toughest draw for both teams I think.

I think we're bound to get City if we both go through.

Battle of Britain match has been inevitable during this run in IMO.

Just wish our form was that of a couple months back.

Not well tbh, but I'd take them over city any day. Would LOVE Porto.

                  City would be worse.

I reckon we’d easilh beat Utd over two legs. The fear of not doing that would be pretty bad though.

Sickening. I ****ing hate them. It was so obvious they'd scab a late goal.

**** the new directive, the fella was penalised for having arms. What's he supposed to do? No one even appealed for it.
                      Thanks very much for being

It will make a mockery just as it has tonight and in the cup and abroad.
They need to hand the responsibility for reffing the game to those in front of the screens then it will work a lot better.
                        Really?

                          Or just **** It off.

Nearly every contentious decision in football is open to interpretation. People never agree. A video panel won't help this.

Should be easy. Use it for simple things. Ball crossed the line? Inside or out of the area? Deliberate handball ie punched the cunt like Hernandez for West ham. The rest? Nah **** It off. Fans never agree on even the most stone wall of penalties. It just leaves a hollow feeling.

The way VAR is utilised in Rugby has to be followed.

The onfield decision stands (in this case corner) unless there is clear reason to change it. You still get judgement calls (like tonight) but if they stop giving non deliberate hand ball in general (was it even going in tonight?, zero onfield appeals) then there will start to be reference point decisions.

The ref should be micd and the decision (what the ref sees and says) has to be shown to the paying audience. Football refs just make it up on the hoof,’ games like tonight prove it.

Also, the clock has to stop. Having the ref play on for a totally arbitrary amount of time is ridiculous.

They need to go back to trialing it in non major competition with some actual rules in place and then look to implement. It feels miles away from ready right now.
