I had a U turn a few years for one reason or another and made the decision to share the same philosophy.

The short of it is that my enjoyment of football dropped significantly, if I miss a game now I'm not really bothered, when we win I'm happy but not overjoyed. I don't believe its possible to fully support a team and get maximum enjoyment unless you go all in. In short, in my opinion, it ruins football. I no longer celebrate hard or let a bad result ruin my day, on the other hand I no longer celebrate hard or let a bad result ruin my day...its all a bit beige.

I've also heard people say they have the same philosophy, but come something like the 6 Nations for example, they become the most patriotic specimens on the planet.

Anyway, getting back to the topic on hand, unfortunately it looks like Utd are back.

I *am* bothered if I miss a game but I try to step back from the forums a bit more now and spend less time around football.

Seems to be working too as I'm about to launch my website and getting a few more customers too

Its not worth the years of suffering watching us become a non entity to walk away just when it gets exciting.

I'd rather be in a title race and lose than not be in one at all.

Obviously being in the race and winning is what sport at any level, playing or watching, is all about.

Who cares what other teams supporters think or say.

Hope they do two things: give Ole that contract and obviously beat City. Other than that the last two results have been fantastic. Out played by Arsenal and Wolves in succession.
