    This bit made me chuckle:

"Indeed, the man who agreed the deal, global marketing chief Joel Ewanick, was axed less than 48 hours after it was announced."

A number of their sponsorship deals also pay out a lot less when there is no Champions League qualification, so I think this notion that United's ability to generate vast amounts of cash regardless of on pitch performance is a fallacy.
    Oh I don't know.

Chevrolet are not renewing the shirt deal. They know they overpaid. United have been **** for 7 years.

Also: agent edwards is doing a great job convincing them that another bumper deal is just around the corner, they are a global brand and can still attract top dollar despite shoping in the bargin bin at sports direct.

While his team-mates were being awarded penalties and missing them, Maguire remained composed and played the game with a quiet authority. He may have cost £80m but I'm beginning to think he is worth it in the current climate. He might even save Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job.

The decisions by VAR to give both the pens for the Mancs were ridiculous. Good of them to realise this and miss them both though; nice bit of sportsmanship

Not sure the second one is so controversial tbh. Cantwell leaps at the ball leading with both arms up at head height! I know he semi turns by the time it hits him, but both his arms are still leading.

Then there's Krull coming miles off his line for both saves, but I think the PL said VAR won't be getting involved with these?

The Arsenal winner being overturned out was by far the worst of the bunch this weekend.

Either way, VAR is an absolute mess.
