I actually hope ole does reasonably well. If he crashes and burns and they end up replacing him with someone decent, then with the players they have and the level of investment every summer, then they could be brilliant. Thank **** they didn't get Tuchel when he was free.

he's a world class and well rounded CB. Gutted if he signs for them.

Varane is certainly not the player he was two or three years ago but he is still a very good player and certainly far better than those he will replace at United so they have strengthened their backline by getting him.

He will add a layer of finesse that they do not currently have in the centre of their defence and much as I hate to say it I think he will compliment Maguire really well.

Bit annoyed to see them getting these players, but they really don't worry me at all (for now ). I think they are where we were 3/4 years ago; decent team but really struggle when teams park the bus. The gap from where they are to the level we reached is huge, and I think they now face the hardest jump there is..going from counter-attacking to dominating games whilst leaving the back door closed. Not easy!

What they are doing is making it harder to fire Ole as they will keep doing... Fairly well, but miles off what it takes to hunt down city/us if we can come back.

Yep I see Chelsea under Tuchel as being a much bigger threat over the course of a season.

I hope not, 3 years ago we won the CL and finished the season with 97 points
