Reading between the lines in that article the drop in shirt sales 100k fewer than the previous year saw Adidas pay man utd £200k less, now it doesn't say that the drop in sales and revenue are directly linked that suggests they get ~£2 a shirt. The suggestion is that they sell less than 2 million shirts a year. In order to cover the £12m transfer fee they would need to sell 6million shirts more than normal, seems unlikely to me...

The numbers will probably make Adidas happier but I don't see it coming close to covering the transfer fee from a Man Utd perspective.

I hope you're all ready for a drastic change in the league now that Ronaldo is here. UTD is already th darling of the FA and now that the greatest player in history has 'come home', they're going to try and make sure this swan song season becomes a fairy tale PL title.
