They need a season to try to stabilise and improve and if they do so then they may begin to become an appealing destination again. You only have to look at what has happened to the last however many signings and realise that, if you take away the financial incentives they can offer, then the footballing incentives just aren't there yet. Van Der Beek, Sancho, Martial, Pogba, Maguire, Wan Bissaka.... the list is quite impressive. Big money no return for club or player.

Of all the top 6 or 7 clubs they have been the most underwhelming in the transfer market so far.

I bet the problem is Utd will have agreed a ridiculous fee, and De Jong will be hoping someone else comes in for him, but that hasnt happened at the price Utd have agreed.

He blatantly just does not want to play for them , and I kind of admire that he is putting his career first and backing himself to impact at Barca, kind of like Hendo did back in the day I suppose.

Yeah but I’d stay & demand they pay me regardless of what it does to that **** hole of a club. It’s not like he’s a local lad who’s always dreamt of playing for his local club.
