Whereas when he goes more hands on himself he tends to be unable to admit he needs to bring in the best in their respective fields, makes wild claims about products that turn out to be utter lies, and generally just **** up when left in sole charge of something.

It is not a criticism, it is simply saying that when he has others doing the work, his projects go somewhere. When he is the main voice it tends to be a grift and lots of hubris flying about.
