I agree on the Fergie thing.

But I think there is probably something more at play here. Essentially he is an asset they have, and cannot probably terminate the contract without going through the process of investigating (This is what I hope anyway)

I dont think its "can we get away with playing him" as such. More "how do we release this guy without spending £££ more on his contract"
