I'll be cheering for them on their opening game. Or maybe hoping for a draw

The couple of attacking players they have signed will help them score more goals, which I think will help them pick up more points against some of the weaker teams in the league, but IMO they really needed to improve their defence and GK and make themselves more difficult to play through. They don't seem to have made signings that will help in that regard, so as things stand it will have to come down to tactical tweaks, so I guess we will see how that goes.
Lets Hope so RUben has done a cracking job so far

I think I am edging for a draw, Don;t want to give those Red Mancs any momentum this season.

A win for them against Arsenal would make all their fans think they are back again and a kick to Arsenal's confidence would be a good thing IMO.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

A stale, drab nil-nil would have the same effect; would dent the confidence of Arsenal and inspire little confidence in the United fans that the team has turned a corner.

my united friends weren’t even getting wound up the last few months- they have a mentality of “I don’t care anymore”

Would be great to start hearing “we’re back!!”… And then let Fulham take the wind out of their sails a week later
              I don't tip

This is definitely where I'm at. It's the hope that kills them.

Plus it would be great to see Arsenal with their 'missing piece of the jigsaw' fall at the first hurdle.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Red cards and injuries, plus game abandoned. Both teams docked 10 points for failing to control their players.

I'd like us to simply outplay them, score more goals, get fewer PGMOL apologies, and win more points than them over the season.

RB Leipzig are among several clubs looking at Rasmus Hojlund and Manchester United could use the 22-year-old Denmark striker as part of a swap deal to sign Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko, 22, from the Bundesliga side. (Athletic - subscription required, external)
Leipzig have just realised how much United paid for Rasmussen ( & once they could control themselves ) they have raised the price considerably for Sesko.
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.
