Inter Milans president have said he expect AC Milan to win the battle of Tevez. Thought he would be the replacement of Pato, but perhaps not?

1737 FOOTBALL: BBC Sport understands that AC Milan have abandoned talks with Manchester City over the proposed transfer of Carlos Tevez. It's understood that the negotiations were hampered by the decision of AC Milan player Alexandre Pato to stay at Milan and not move to Paris Saint Germain. Other unknown factors are also believed to have been involved in the breakdown of talks.

It'd be funny as **** if City got lumbered with Tevez for the rest of the season and he refused to play.

If he's still there in the last couple of days of the window, we should jump in with a loan bid.

gotta say this pato bloke isnt all that great. even with all the hype and circus that follows tevez these days id still push ahead with the deal in the hope it would force pato to rethink his decision. 28mill for pato - superb bit of business by milan if they get that.

Everton scrape together some pennies and blow it on Gibson!

They need a lot of things, but I would guess they need a striker the most.

Queens Park Rangers are set to launch a bid for Tottenham midfielder Steven Pienaar, Sky Sports understands.

The South African schemer has become disillusioned with the lack of first-team chances at White Hart Lane.

Pienaar moved to Tottenham 12 months ago from Everton, but has started less than 10 league games in that time.

Now the 29-yaer-old is ready to quit the club and a number of sides have already shown an interest in taking him.

Former club Everton and Sunderland were strongly linked, but Sky Sports understands QPR are ready to emerge as favourites by making a firm offer.

With funds made available to him, new QPR boss Mark Hughes has been quick to identify some of his top targets.

Pienaar has emerged as one of those, as Hughes looks to add some extra quality to his midfield.

Tevez is everything that is wrong with this game.
