Stam got sold because he wrote a book that said he been tapped up by Manure while we were giving him a trial and calling Neville a busy little **** (probably not sold for that bit..) didn't he? He was their best defender and they brought Blanc in as a quick fix to replace him and he was **** - prime example of Fergie cutting his nose off to spite his face..

Ah yes, I remember that now. Suprised he got the chance to mouth off in his book before he left.Originally posted by Helios Creed View PostStam got sold because he wrote a book that said he been tapped up by Manure while we were giving him a trial and calling Neville a busy little **** (probably not sold for that bit..) didn't he? While undoubtedly true that Blanc was worse than Stam I can't help feeling that such instances have over the long haul helped him maintain his position. As he was quoted by Keane as saying "it's all about power and control".Originally posted by Helios Creed View PostStam got sold because he wrote a book that said he been tapped up by Manure while we were giving him a trial and calling Neville a busy little **** (probably not sold for that bit..) didn't he? It is interesting to see people talk about how Fergusson is the one real exception to Guttmanns three year rule for coaches. Obviously interesting to see how Guardiola handles it but Mr Fergusson has always seemed to have a deliberate clearing of the decks (not just acquiring more players as Barca seem to have done)."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
