Putting aside our emotions about him for a moment, this is quite interesting and pretty much conforms to what many of us have observed about Owen over the years. There's definitely a lesson in it when we're considering throwing the likes of Stirling into first team football - another young player without a great deal of physical strength and whose game is very much based on pace.

Everton is the best that he can get and he's the best that they can get. It's a completely logical move for both parties.
