Worst case scenario is going to jail. So it's hardly ridiculous that he'll do whatever it takes to avoid that.Originally posted by baronvonskidmark View PostI guess that's true. But it just seems ridiculous that a grown man, who wants to be manager of the national football team, is worried about someone 'staring' at him.

I thought he said "If anything, i've paid too much tax, not too little" ?
Didnt think there was mention of 'rather' in there.
Biggest letdown was the post match interview after Spurs game last night, the reporter missed the opportunity to ask him if the complacency that sometimes crops up when you play a lesser side might have led to a more taxing evening than he would've wanted.

He is totally going to talk himself into jail. Complete muppet. As you mention if he'd rather pay too much tax, it kind of negates the need for the top London Accounting firm. If he'd rather over pay, I'll file his tax returnsThe Tottenham Hotspur manager, Harry Redknapp, has told the jury trying him on allegations of tax evasion that he has always paid his taxes, and would rather overpay than underpay them.
Asked about his attitude to tax by his barrister, John Kelsey-Fry QC, Redknapp said: "I have always paid my tax. I have always gone to the best available people."
He said he employed a top London accounting firm to look after his financial affairs, adding: "I would rather pay too much tax than not enough tax." Link

But how does he know? I thought he previously claimed he had no idea how much money he made, and was basically as think as pig ****.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI thought he said "If anything, i've paid too much tax, not too little" ?

@Pearcesport
Pros ask Redknapp if money wasn't a bonus then why did he tell News of World "That money was a bonus paid to me for selling a player"
Redknapp says not important if he tells truth to News ofWorld, only needs to tell truth to police
Redknapp tells jury that what he said to News of World was "all a story" and "I wanted to get him off the phone"
Prosecution: News of World reporter "caught you out MrRedknapp. You decided to speak to him and let the cat out of the bag"
Pearcesport James Pearce
Redknapp shows frustration with prosecution: "Do you think that me + Mr Mandaric are going to have 2 different stories? Are we that stupid?"
