I dont think I remember Madrid being a proud club for 20 years or so now. They are a good fit. Probably coincided with Perez getting involved. The Galactico Era has to have been one of the most tasteless things in football. Hoovering up all the talent and putting the club in huge debt.

Last I read Real Madrid were £600m or something mad. Man Utd were next closest with £350m ish.
