Costa is a cheating arse but that Vine is something that nearly all strikers do.

If we had had anyone who resembled a mobile striker fit for most games we would have done a hell of a lot better last season. I suspect if Costa is in your team you feel different about his thuggery.

I remember jizzing at the thought of having Costa and Suarez in our team after we made a bid to buy him. It was the season when he flicked a bogey at Ramos/Pepe in the Madrid derby.

Just seems to be something very different between how Costa and Suarez go about what they do imo, Suarez seems to be all in the effort and will to succeed and win for his team, Costa looks to just be acting the cunt, constantly.

He put in a lot of effort at Atletico. He's got the perfect thundermeatcurtain in Mourinho as manager, so his antics have been upped, and less on workrate.

Under a manager like Simeone, he was a menace, even though he acted like a bell at times.

I think it's just different expressions of the same will to win. Some of the things Suarez did were pretty indefensible when viewed dispassionately.

Reports seem to suggest Costa is a reasonable guy off the pitch too. Much like Suarez. They are both pantomime villains. The game needs to clamp down on the things they do which have wider implications (no one wants biting, elbowing or racism to be a bigger part of the game) but basically the pantomime element of football culture is undoubtedly enhanced by their presence. Neither player has managed to reach the staggeringly tedious extremes of recent Mourinho in that regard.

Suarez just always seemed to be unable to control himself. Costa comes over as a calculating sod.

Although I'm fairly sure we'd have all hated Suarez had he played against us.

That OTT incredulous laughing thing Mourinho does hamming it up to the supporters when a decision doesn't go his way is annoying as ****.

This an expression of his will to win too ?

                    Love the kids reaction .

I'm kidding btw, i doubt he was seriously attempting to upset or hurt the lad.

Agree with a lot of what you say, but stand by my opinion that we dodged a bullet with him, i think under Klopp we can do better or as good without him, just dislike how he plays the game, totally opposite to Suarez imo, for all his faults.

In defence of Costa (I know!) I can imagine a lot of what he does in matches comes down to who manages him. Mourinho is obviously a massive cunt that seems to instil this sort of mindset and I don't think Simeone will have been much different.

Costa to me seems the manifestation of Mourinho on the pitch

                        Absolutely this.

He did it the first time he went to Chelsea, his influence at Madrid (I know they had / have some snide players already) was huge, and he's doing it again now.

**** being a gifted footballer and playing for a cunt like him and his ****house tactics.

It's possible, just not sure it's the reason Costa is a cunt, do we excuse Terry in the same way ?

Just as likely that Costa is Costa, and that's why managers like Jose like him.

Costa was a cunt at AM, his behaviour was expected. Was Mourinho at fault then?

They're a marriage made in heaven.

Oh he's a cunt but he's certainly not discouraged to behave that way by Mourinho or seemingly Simeone before
