He's certainly being touted as the "next big thing" as the Mancs and Chelsea were in for him but as you say I doubt many would have had him at the top of their list of strikers they'd want to see signing.

He reminds me of Fernando Morientes. He's definitely no Raul.

        He's decent, that's about it.

More importantly, he's not Costa. As much as a cnut that he is, Costa last season was top five best striker in Europe for me. Not just for his goals or assists but that drive and passion to win at all costs.

Yes, he definitely does looks to be a downgrade on Costa.

Not sure what's gone on behind the scenes there, but he'll be a big loss for them.

                Why are Real selling?

IMO to get the money to buy Mbappe. Sure they have Bale, Ronaldo & Benzema ahead of him. Ascenio looks a star too, they usually play an attacking 3, so he is down the pecking order. They have sold Danilo & Morata for over 100m and they are just squad players for them.

In saying that, likes of Real have sold plenty of players over the years that go on to flourish at other clubs, e.g. Eto'O, Sneijder, Robben, Cambiasso, Samuel, Mata, Juan Fran. They make a hell of lot of mistakes, remains to be seen if Morata will be one of them but he certainly has talent.

In Rudiger, Bakayoko & Morata... IMO apart from AC Milan's business (which is nothing short of ridiculous), they will have had the best window out of any club so far... especially when you take into account what they already have at the club.

Morata to take the number 9 jersey....

"After Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink gave up the shirt in 2004 it has been worn by Mateja Kezman, Hernan Crespo, defender Khalid Boulahrouz, midfielder Steven Sidwell, Franco di Santo, Fernando Torres and Radamel Falcao."

Steve ****ing Sidwell wore the number 9??

Sounds like Soton are saying more interest in him , playing the game with us.

Just wish we would put a bid in and start the process

Personally, i think Chavski's interest is genuine.

If The Russian is willing to back his manager with substantial funds, then i think VVD could just be persuaded.
