They are struggling to meet PSR without these extraordinary deals, so unless they become massively profitable in future, they won't be able to afford to buy them back.

Even if they do, to adjust the price they sold the assets for downwards, they would need to be able to demonstrate to their audits how the asset has reduced in value compared to that sales price.

They are kicking the fan town the road, we laugh at Barca and their levers to meet Spanish La Liga rules but at least they have some teeth. Chelsea are flagrantly abusing loopholes and spending all round them

I can see a few of these loopholes being formally closed next season, but it's a a bit like closing the gate after the horse has bolted. Chelsea are properly taking the piss. They don't even own Stamford Bridge or the pitch, so they are pretty much out of levers now. They own the facilities at Cobham, but the freehold is owned by the Crown Estate.
